You are me, in another life. This inner monologue makes me feel seen. It also makes me feel like I should write. But I could never do so in such an eloquent way and without emoji's 😭 fml
I love reading your posts? Stories? Substacks? What ARE these entries called? Anyway, I love reading them because they make me feel connected to my younger self. We sound so alike you and I. Separated by a decade or two… but we think and feel and be alike you and I. I should go put my phone in the bin… but I love that it connects me to you and your thoughts… and to my younger self. She was a cool chick, younger me. I forget that sometimes. Much love to you and yours. ❤️❤️
Oh AM, this is the best. I love that you can look back at your younger self so fondly (and I hope you can extend that same warmth to current you too!).
I feel this so much. I'm creating a 'thing' to help parents ease their teens off screens...but you know what? I need it most.
and we keep needing it, hey? there are no quick fixes because tech evolves to disrupt whatever new self control strategy we've implemented. EUGH!
Reading Stolen Focus properly for the first time. The industry is criminal for preying on humanity. Gross.
Ah yes the poo
i just wanna do one big life poo and then never have to do one again
Love this so much x
💛
I long for that, I’ve managed the no people many times and it’s a gift as well as sadness. Sometimes.
But the phone, so far just an idea that I am resting.
I have to consider it more seriously.
Because I am sure my world won’t end without phone.
However when caring for aging parent I have to at least glance at it.

If you have the urge to write, you must. It's the rules.
Also, emojis are a literary technique. Madeleine Ryan uses emojis in The Knowing. It captures the zeitgeist! It's a thing!
